At least someone cares

Miss V has been trying to get some answers regarding 3810 Southern Ave SE (The Villager), which is adjacent to Fairfax Village. I was finally able to get in contact with the Director of Facilities. They moved the residents out about seven months ago. Since then the building has been undergoing modernization. On a walk with my dogs I noticed fresh mulch. They intend to move residents back in once the renovations are complete.

Fairfax Village also owns the tennis courts that are also adjacent to The Villager. Wouldn't it be great if we could do a public-private partnership to turn the tennis courts into a shared community space? I'm thinking maybe a play area for kids, a mini-dog park, and some areas just sit and enjoy the outside. **wheels are turning**

Kudos to DC Housing Authority for upgrading their property. Now if we could only get the owners of 3970 Pennsylvania Ave SE and the Fairfax Village Shopping Center to followed suit.
